Fire Risk Assessments

Our Fire Risk and Health and Safety Assessors are qualified to national standards. We visit your premises and work with you to provide comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments. Your fire risk assessment may also include a more general Health and Safety assessment – please ask us for details or visit our main website for further details.

Every business owner and employer is required under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to be able to demonstrate the following:

• That all possible fire risks have been assessed and the results recorded by a written fire risk assessment and reviewed regularly.
• Firefighting equipment has been provided, maintained and regularly inspected and recorded.
• An emergency action plan has been written, confirmed and published.
• Fire training has been provided to staff in the use of equipment & procedures in the event of fire.
• Fire evacuation drills have been carried out and recorded.
• Adequate means of fire detection, warning systems and escape routes are in place to allow people to leave the building safely.

Annual fire risk assessments are a legal requirement and should be carried out on almost all premises where people could be working. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 the responsible person, who is normally the person responsible for the property is legally obliged to ensure a fire risk assessment is carried out.

If the building has multiple tenants then each tenant is responsible for their fire risk assessment.

We know the simple things that get missed, such as the requirement to visually check and record that fire extinguishers are where they are supposed to be on a monthly basis.
